MACHU PICCHU HISTORIC SANCTUARY TOUR: Machu Picchu is situated in 32,000+ ha of Cloud Forest Nature Reserve. Discover the cloud forests that surround the sacred city.

Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary

Few people who visit Machu Picchu, the ultimate hide away of the Inca Empire, are aware of the fact that it lies in the center of a 32,000= ha historical sanctuary, that keep the surrounding landscape clad in beautiful primary cloud forest in its original state, the way Hiram Bingham found it more than a century ago. On our National Parks Tour to Machu Picchu, you actually walk down from the hidden city to Aguas Calientes village, watching the forest and the birds as you walk down on your way back to the Machu Picchu train. Some people of course arrive by the Inca Trail.

Why consider booking our  Peru National Parks Tour? Because for the same price, our tour gets you to ALL places Peru is so famous for. On top of that, you get to see 9 National Parks/Reserves accompanied by a naturalist guide. There is nothing similar on the market. As Peru can be combined with other countries, we organize tours in modules: Lima Cusco, Machu Picchu module, Manu National Park module, National Parks Module, All modules.

As you can see from the pictures, the climate of Machu Picchu is much wetter that the climate of Cusco, as Cusco is almost a thousand meters higher. In fact when you ride the Machu Pichu Train from Ollantaytambo, the train is descending continuously.
